Nalco, the water-treatment-chemicals company owned by Ecolab Inc., has been dismissed from a series of lawsuits related to the 2010 BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Bloomberg reports that Nalco, which had made a chemical used to disperse the oil in Gulf after the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon, had been named in more than 20 suits after the spill, with critics saying its chemicals were more toxic than the oil and didn’t work properly.
