All Nations planning conference set for June 18-19 ahead of Little Bighorn anniversary

Northern Cheyenne Tribe Vice President Ernest Littlemouth is inviting tribal representatives to attend the All Nations 150th Battle Anniversary Planning Conference on June 18-19, according to an agenda distributed by the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. The first day will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 18 at the Billings Urban Indian Health & Wellness Center in Billings, Montana. The second day is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19 at the Real Bird Reenactment Grounds near Garryowen, Montana.

According to the agenda, topics include an All Nations roll call, updates from tribes and organizations, a National Park Service Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument update and question-and-answer session, committee breakouts and planning discussions. The second day will focus on camping locations, site layout planning, horseback riders’ routes and related logistics. The agenda notes that both days include lunch on participants' own and that the schedule is subject to change.
