Bismarck-mandan Juneteenth Celebration Set For June 19
Free event will feature music, dance, food, art and activities for families

The fourth annual Bismarck-Mandan Juneteenth Celebration will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on June 19 at Dykshoorn Park in Mandan. According to event organizers, the free event is open to the public and will include live music and dance performances, food, history and art exhibits and children's activities.
Organizers said attendees will have opportunities to learn about the roots and meaning of Juneteenth while participating in face painting, games and other family-friendly activities. Information provided by organizers lists community support from several local organizations, including Youthworks, Morton Mandan Public Library, First Presbyterian Church, Surprise Church Bismarck and the Northern Plains National Heritage Area.
