Tour Of Champions Relay Races Planned June 26-27 In Busby

The Tour of Champions HNIRC Indian Relay Races are scheduled for June 26 and 27, 2026, at White River Downs in Busby, Montana, according to an event announcement. Organizers state the event will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the "Battle Where Long Hair Was Rubbed out," also identified in the announcement as the Battle of Little Bighorn. The event is listed as an official qualifier for the National Indian Relay Championship.
Competitions will include men's and women's Indian relay races, Indian horse races and foot races for children and teens. Organizers list a total purse payout of more than $30,000, including payouts for relay races and horse races. Registration for relay teams opens June 1 and closes June 19.
