Little Bighorn Film Festival to mark 150th anniversary with opening-night event

An opening-night red carpet event for the 150th Anniversary of the Little Bighorn Film Festival is scheduled for June 25, 2026, in Billings, Montana, according to event materials. The event will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The Northern Hotel Ballroom and is described as an alcohol-free, family event.

The festival is focused on “celebrating the resilience of the Allied Tribes,” including the Cheyenne, Lakota and Arapaho. The opening-night program is part of the 150th-anniversary commemoration of the Little Bighorn and will be followed by film screenings on June 26 and June 27, 2026, at Art House Cinema & Pub in Billings. According to the event materials, the festival will feature 22 films.
