Mandan schools to provide free summer lunches for children

The Mandan Public School District will provide free lunches for children age 18 and younger from June 1 through July 31, according to a district flyer. Meals will be served Monday through Friday at Kiwanis Park from 11 to 11:30 a.m., Dykshoorn Park from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and Eagles Park from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

According to the flyer, there are no income requirements to participate in the program. The flyer states that meals must be consumed on site. Lunches will not be served at Dykshoorn Park on July 2, and no meals will be served at any of the parks on July 3. The program is offered through a partnership between the USDA and Mandan Public Schools, according to the flyer.
