Mcdowell Dam Recreation Area To Host Free Fun Day On July 22
Event will offer free paddlecraft rentals and accessible water recreation during National Park and Recreation Month

The McDowell Dam Recreation Area will host a free Fun Day on Wednesday, July 22, from 1 to 9 p.m., according to the event announcement. Visitors will have free access to paddleboats, paddleboards, canoes and kayaks during the event, which is being held as part of National Park and Recreation Month.
An accessible kayak launch will be available, according to the announcement. Visitors are encouraged to pack a lunch and spend the day at the recreation area. A concession stand also will be open with snacks and drinks available for purchase, according to the event information.
