Mha Nation To Host Hazwoper Awareness Training In New Town
Free training will cover hazardous substance exposure awareness and emergency response preparedness

The MHA Emergency Operations Center will host a HAZWOPER Awareness training on May 26 in New Town in partnership with the White Shield Fire District, according to the training announcement. The two-hour training is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the MHA Emergency Operations Center, located at 8880 Hwy 23B.
According to the announcement, the training will provide an overview of HAZWOPER, hazardous substance exposure risks and related safety and health effects. The course is open to first responders, facilities management workers, utilities and industrial personnel, security staff and the general public. The training is free and will be offered in person. Registration closes at 1 p.m. May 25, according to the announcement.
