Plains Indian Sign Language Event Set For May 1 In Bismarck

A Plains Indian Sign Language event is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026, from 12 to 3 p.m. CST at the United Tribes Technical College gymnasium in Bismarck, North Dakota, according to an event flyer. The event is free and open to the public, with lunch provided.
Featured speakers include Dr. Lanny Real Bird, an Indigenous Language Advocate, Thomas Plenty Chiefs, a Sahnish Language Advocate, Bheri R. Hallam, a Núu’étaa Language Mentor, and Jayli Fimbres, a Hiraaca Language Mentor, according to the flyer.
