Sacred Pipe Resource Center to host legislative advocacy training in Bismarck

Sacred Pipe Resource Center is scheduled to host a “Legislative One-on-Ones Community Training” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at 925 Basin Ave. in Bismarck, according to an event announcement shared by the organization.

According to the announcement, the training will focus on teaching participants how to speak with legislators and prepare for meetings with sitting lawmakers. Organizers said attendance does not require participants to take part in one-on-one meetings with legislators and that the session is intended to help community members build advocacy skills. The announcement stated no experience is necessary and a meal will be provided. Organizers also said participants attending the session can receive a free Sacred Pipe Resource Center hoodie.
