Standing Rock Sioux Tribe releases 2026 summer wacipi schedule

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe released its summer 2026 wacipi schedule, outlining dates and locations for events across several communities on the Standing Rock Reservation. According to the schedule shared by the tribe, the summer series begins June 5-7 in Porcupine and continues through August with gatherings in Cannonball, Bear Soldier, Running Antelope, Long Soldier, Rock Creek, Kenel and Wakpala.

The schedule lists events for June 12-14 in Cannonball, July 3-5 in Bear Soldier, July 24-26 in Running Antelope and July 31 through Aug. 2 in Long Soldier. Additional events are scheduled Aug. 14-16 in Rock Creek and Aug. 21-23 in both Kenel and Wakpala. According to the notice, tribal programs will attend community events on the Thursday before the first day to provide services and resource information to the Oyate. Local district offices will handle scheduling conflicts and additional information.
