Traditional Sunflower Planting Day Set At Four Sisters Garden
NHSC Agriculture will host a cultural planting event featuring garden tours, demonstrations and a community lunch, according to event materials

A Traditional Sunflower Planting Day is scheduled at the Four Sisters Garden, located west of New Town, according to event materials. The agenda begins at 10:30 a.m. with an opening prayer, followed by a garden tour at 10:40 a.m. and sunflower planting demonstrations using Hidatsa and Arikara methods at 11 a.m.
The event continues with a lunch and Q&A at 11:50 and an NHSC Agriculture Service overview at noon. Organizers encourage attendees to bring their own gloves, noting tools will be available. The event is open to the public and will focus on cultural agriculture education.
