Thunder Valley seeks early childhood educator for Lakota immersion classroom

Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation is hiring an early childhood educator to serve as a toddler classroom lead. According to a job posting from the organization, the position includes overseeing the classroom environment, activities, and child development, while ensuring that communication is conducted in Lakota and that it follows Montessori principles.

The posting states applicants must have an associate degree in early childhood education or Montessori guide training and at least two years of childcare experience. Candidates who are not fluent in Lakota must be committed to improving their language skills and working toward fluency within four years.
