Turtle Mountain College to host upcoming CultureFest celebrating diversity

Turtle Mountain College will host its CultureFest on Wednesday, April 8, offering the community a full day of presentations and interactive experiences celebrating diverse traditions. The workshop, running from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on campus, features five presenters sharing knowledge on topics ranging from Ojibwe teachings to Eastern Indian culture. Dan Henry will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies, guiding attendees through a schedule that kicks off with an opening prayer and welcome from TMC President Wanda Parisien.

In addition to the educational sessions, the festival will feature an art show with competitive categories for both community members and TMC students, with winners announced during a 12:15 p.m. lunch and cultural food sampling. Local businesses and artisans are invited to participate, as the college is offering free vendor booths for the event. Individuals seeking general information can contact Laisee Allery, while prospective vendors are encouraged to reach out to Alixena Patnaude at 701-369-6060.
