White River Cheyenne Indian Days Set For June 17-21 In Busby
The five-day event includes a battle commemoration, powwow, handgames and community activities

White River Cheyenne Indian Days will take place June 17-21, 2026, in Busby, Montana, according to event information released by organizers. Activities begin June 17 with a commemoration of the Battle Where the Girl Saved Her Brother at Rosebud Battlefield, including a re-enactment at 1 p.m. and a feed at 3 p.m. A callback ceremony is scheduled for June 18, followed by a feed at 7 p.m.
The powwow will be held June 19 and 20, featuring gourd dancing, daily feeds, grand entries and exhibition categories. Additional events include handgames, a Battle Where the Girl Saved Her Brother run/walk at Rosebud Battlefield in Kirby, Montana, and cornhole and horseshoes competitions. Organizers also listed horse races for June 26 and 27. The event announcement states that Busby Pow Wow Grounds and Busby Downs will be available June 21 for horse riders traveling to the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Little Big Horn.
