Wiping Of Tears Ceremony Planned May 14 In Bismarck
Community gathering at South Central High School will focus on prayer and support for those experiencing grief

A Wasigla Wiping of Tears Ceremony is scheduled for May 14 at South Central High School in Bismarck, according to event materials shared by organizers. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m., with a meal to follow.
Organizers invited community members and relatives carrying grief to attend the gathering, which is intended to support families and individuals through prayer and healing. Event materials state the purpose of the ceremony is to help people “transition out of deep mourning and to return to a place of balance” while honoring loved ones who have died. Organizers also asked attendees to respect traditional protocol and refrain from attending if they are on their sacred time. Questions about the event can be directed to Melvin Miner at 701-226-3988 or Donovan Lambert at 701-516-2916.
