Women Warrior Victory Parade Planned For Battle Of The Little Bighorn Anniversary
Event will honor women warriors and Indigenous allies during the 150th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Greasy Grass

A Women Warrior Victory Parade is scheduled for June 25, 2026, as part of the 150th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of the Little Bighorn/Greasy Grass, according to event information from Blue Bird Lifeways. The event is open to Cheyenne, Oceti Sakowin and Arapaho women warriors, as well as Indigenous allies.
Participants will gather at 1 p.m. at the base of the Little Bighorn Battlefield entrance off Highway 212 near Crow Agency, Montana. A procession led by women is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., followed by youth victory runners. Organizers plan for participants to arrive at the Little Bighorn Battlefield Visitor Center at 2:30 p.m., where a Women’s Victory Song will be presented. The event is organized under the theme, “Women are the foundation: Strong women. Strong families. Strong nations.”
