Cobell settlement: Indian lawsuit money paid out soon

In 1996, when Montana bank president and former Blackfeet tribal treasurer Eloise Cobell sued the U.S. in a class-action lawsuit, she brought national attention to a century of colossal mismanagement by the federal government of land and natural resources it held in trust for tribal members.
