I’ve been volunteering some hours here in the studio offices of KGBA Missoula!The station manager, Ben Weiss, and a few of the DJs are taking exercise challenges as part of the week-long Radiothon. This fundraising event is talking place right now, ending Sunday, Feb. 14. So far, about $2,835 has been raised to support this community radio challenge on your dial at 89.9 FM. I’ve just posted a video on the Web site of some of the exercise challenges, proof these guys are working hard for the money. Take note: The premium packages are pretty amazing. Keep checking the Web page because the deals keep changing by the hour. Some of the incentives to buy include lift tickets, night in a condo, flower certificates, movies and T-Shirts and much more. Packages are being sold at $10, $25, $50 and $100. Call in donate and support community radio. Mind you, the guys in the office are having a bit of fun with the Radiothon. But, there is some more serious shows on the air. Some students and I are working on a program for the proposed Indigenous Expressions Radio Show. We expect to be on the air Friday mornings, 8 to 9 a.m. I’ll keep you posted.
