Laura was a champion for Native media, and Native youth media in particular. Months before her death, she visited the ashes of Migizi, the nonprofit she built so Native youth could empower themselves through media. It had been destroyed in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd. "We'll rebuild." And they did. Thanks for inspiring us to keep going.
