The “You Are Not Forgotten” MMIR Benefit Ride in honor of Cole Brings Plenty launched July 12 from the MHA Interpretive Center in New Town, North Dakota. The 456-mile ride raises awareness for missing, murdered and exploited Indigenous relatives, and will pass through the Standing Rock and Cheyenne River Sioux Nations before concluding at Bear Butte State Park, South Dakota.

Organizers said the ride includes stops for prayer and teachings at historical and sacred sites to support healing, youth engagement and intertribal solidarity. Joseph Brings Plenty Sr. is raising funds for the investigation into his son’s case with the support of MMIR organizers across the three Nations.

The video was produced by James Brugh.
