Education summit marks milestone

This year nearly 200 educators, a milestone for the North Dakota Indian Education Summit, gained culturally relevant ways to teach all students. And 2021’s landmark Native American History law, SB 2304, is also receiving an assist.

For 10 years, North Dakota’s Indian Education Summit has been a beacon for educators who want to connect with Native children. From mental health to inclusive lesson plans, the two-day conference created pathways to uplift all students in the Peace Garden state. Vincent Moniz was at the event that has dedicated a decade to bringing Indigenous students and history to the head of the class.
