Xcel Energy will spend about $447,000 to settle a lawsuit over allegations of clean-air violations at the Cherokee power plan in Denver.
Xcel will spend the money on solar installations, energy-efficiency programs, and improvement of natural areas in the neighborhoods near the power plant, the Denver Business Journal reported.
