Enbridge Energy sent a letter to local officials disputing concerns that the company's new planned Michigan pipeline may not be built to the same standards as a pipeline it wants to build in western Canada. The letter, dated Aug. 30, points to improvements over the current pipeline, including increased pipeline wall thickness and enhanced leak detection measures.read more
