The Chippewa have authorized tribal hunters to go after deer at night across northern Wisconsin response to the state’s new wolf hunt. State attorneys contend night hunting is too dangerous and want U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb to rule the Department of Natural Resource’s long-standing prohibition on the practice extends to the tribes. read more
