Mha Nation To Host Incident Command System Training In New Town
Free three-hour course will cover emergency planning, coordination and ICS framework awareness

The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation Emergency Operations Center will host an Incident Command System Awareness training on May 27 in New Town, according to a training announcement by the MHA Nation Emergency Operations Center. The free training is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the MHA Emergency Operations Center Main Training Room, located at 8880 Hwy 23B.
According to the announcement, the course will be open to first responders and the public with options for in-person and online attendance. Course objectives include understanding the Incident Command System framework and components, recognizing the need for emergency planning and identifying how ICS helps coordinate multiple agencies during an incident. The course instructor is listed as Baylee Thomas, Rescue Operations Specialist 1.
