Spirit Lake Tribe plans May search for Jemini Posey
Volunteers will assist with two-day search effort on Spirit Lake Reservation
The Spirit Lake Tribe will conduct a search this weekend for missing person Jemini Posey in coordination with her family, according to reporting by KMOT. Posey disappeared from the Spirit Lake Reservation in January 2024 and has not been located.
The search is scheduled for May 9-10 and will begin at 8 a.m. each day at the Wood Lake Recreation Center in Tokio, according to KMOT. Volunteers who register may participate but must follow daily instructions from tribal officials.
D’Angelo Hunt faces second-degree murder charges in the death of Isaac Hunt and a voluntary manslaughter charge in the death of his girlfriend, identified in court records as J.M.P. While Posey is not fully named in court filings, Buffalo’s Fire previously reported the two had been connected as romantic partners.
