Biden to Host Final Tribal Nations Summit, Marking Four Years of Engagement

President reaffirms commitment to Native communities in year-end gathering of tribal leaders

President Biden will address the White House Tribal Nations Summit on Monday, December 9, 2024. This will be his fourth consecutive year speaking at the summit and the last one of his current administration. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland and other administration officials will also speak at the event, focusing on policy initiatives to support Tribal communities.

The summit, which was revived in 2021 after a pause during the Trump administration, brings together leaders from all 574 federally recognized tribal nations, national and regional Native American organization leaders, and members of Congress. Its primary goal is to discuss ways the federal government can invest in and strengthen Native communities, ensuring long-term progress for Tribal nations.
