If you think the housing market is tight in North Dakota now, just wait a bit. The state is expected to add another 120,000 people by the end of the decade.
The Fargo Forum reports North Dakota’s population (now about 683,000) will break 806,000 by 2020. Much of that growth will come from the energy boom, as the state’s oil industry is expected to peak at about 130,000 workers by 2020, up from 78,000 in 2010.
That will push demand for housing up – something Minnesota companies have been counting…
